POSCO Vision Scholarship

POSCO Vision scholarship is awarded to young students in poor circumstances in Pohang and Gwangyang, where POSCO is located, with the aim to help them focus on their studies with the right attitude and thereby grow into outstanding members of society.

The POSCO Vision Scholarship is specialized for the children of the marginalized class to help them focus on their studies with hope and vision and thereby grow into outstanding members of society.

This scholarship is awarded to young students in poor circumstances of 35 high schools and a welfare facility (Marine Memorial Orphanage) in Pohang and Gwangyang, where POSCO is located. The recipients are selected when the children of families that receive basic living security benefits go to college, and the scholarship is provided until they graduate from college to enable them to complete their studies. The recipients are selected through interviews to check their character and grades. If they maintain the minimum level of grades, KRW 4 million is annually provided until their graduation.
