Programs

  • Area of Support : Mathematics, physics, chemistry, and life science (4 studies in the basic science field)
  • Number of grantees : About 30 grantees in 4 areas
  • Application Requirements : An individual who is a fourth year student of a college in Korea or abroad as of the day
    of the application announcement and an expected full-time graduate student for a doctoral program at a graduate school in Korea or an individual who is studying at a graduate school in Korea for no more than 4 semesters as of the day of the application announcement
  • Scale of Support : KRW 25 million annually for 3 years from the start of the doctoral program
  • Application Requirements : Expected post-doctoral researchers who obtained doctoral degrees (including expected degree holders) in a Korean university or a university-affiliated research institute, or 2nd-year post-doctoral researchers who are being trained at a Korean university, a university-affiliated research institute, or a government-run research institute as of the day of the application announcement
  • Scale of Support : Expected post-doctoral researchers are annually provided a research fellowship of KRW 35 million per person for 2 years from the start of the post-doctoral program. Present post-doctoral researchers are annually provided a research fellowship of KRW 35 million per person for 2 years from the semester following the selection.
  • Application Requirements : Young assistant professors working at a Korean university for less than 30 months (excluding the career at foreign universities) as of the day of the application announcement, or expected assistant professors within 1 year at a Korean university or a university-affiliated research institute, or chief researchers or research assistant professors at a government-run research institute
  • Scale of Support : Research fellowship of KRW 35 million is annually provided per person for 2 years from the semester following the selection.
