Hwang-Cheol-ju, CEO of Juseong Engineering, is a 1st-generation Korean venture leader who has overcome high technological barriers overseas and globalized the Korean equipment industry through research into creative technology and innovative equipment.
CEO Hwang founded Juseong Engineering in 1993 to develop its own semiconductor equipment rather than depending entirely on imports and focused on developing and acquiring independent and original technology from the start to compete with incomparably larger international companies. Thus far, the company has registered over 2000 patents and developed 17 world's first/best products.
Notably, in 2002, the company commercialized semiconductor atomic layer deposition (ALD) for microprocesses for the first time in the world, surprising semiconductor firms worldwide, and in 2012, it developed space divided plasma atomic layer deposition (SDP ALD) for the first time in the world to greatly increase process speed. It exports globally to major countries and is recognized for its outstanding competitiveness in global markets.
Even amidst two deficit crises in 2001 and 2011, the company has invested approximately 20% of its sales into R&D and expanded into LCD/OLED displays and solar power equipment. This constant spirit of challenge and pioneering into new fields has made Juseong Engineering into a technological emblem bringing Korean equipment competitiveness to a global level.
