Chairperson Chang In Hwa of POSCO Group was appointed as the new Chairperson of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation during the Board of Directors meeting on February 18, 2025. At this meeting, four new board members were also appointed: Yoon Young-gak, CEO of Pavilion Investment; Choi Jae-chun, Distinguished Professor at Ewha Womans University; Jung Sun-hee, Chairperson of Café Oasia; and Lee Kyung-lim, Executive Director of SEEUM.

In his inaugural speech, Chairperson Chang stated, "As a member of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation, which embodies the philosophy of Honorary Chairperson Park Tae-joon, I will contribute to the foundation's continued growth." He also expressed his deep gratitude to former Chairperson Kim Sun-wook and Director Kim Hye-kyung for their long-standing dedication to the development of the foundation.

 

 

 

Former Chairperson Kim Sun-wook served as a board member of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation from 2016 to 2018 and as Chairperson for six years from 2018, providing direction for the foundation’s scholarship programs and contributing to the growth of its global social contribution initiatives.

Meanwhile, the POSCO TJ Park Foundation traces its origins to the Steel Scholarship Foundation, established in 1971 by Honorary Chairperson Park Tae-joon. Through its global social contribution programs, including the POSCO TJ Park Prize, POSCO Science Fellowship, POSCO Asia Fellowship, and POSCO Youth Fellowship, the foundation continues to support the shared development of Korea and other Asian countries.
