POSCO TJ Park Foundation (Chairman, Oh-jun Kwon) has shared an enforcement notice for ‘2019 POSCO TJ Park Prize’ on May 15th.

 

The POSCO TJ Park Prize is awarded to individuals or organizations that contributed greatly in the field of science ∙ education ∙ community development ∙ technology, and candidate recommendations can be submitted for four months from June through September. The winner will be selected next February and will be awarded at the awards ceremony in April. Each winner will receive 200 million won cash prize with a plaque.

 

 The POSCO TJ Park Prize was established to honor the achievements of the late Chairman Tae-joon Park who has developed POSCO into a global steel corporation, and to expand public interest and participation in POSCO’s founding philosophy of creativity, human resources development, sacrifice, and community service spirit to further contribute to national development.  The prize started in 2007 and it has been awarding 40 Koreans and Asians prizes for science, education, community development, and technology for the past 12 years until 2018.
